Yes, all users need a permit to ride horses or bikes or hike.
Spearhead riders may remember when we mailed out permit stickers for helmets. We no longer do this. If you completed a waiver and paid for your permit, a copy of your permit was e-mailed to you. Check your spam folder. The e-mail subject is "Your Spearhead Trails™ Permit". Screenshot, print or save this e-mail for your files. Additionally, all Trail Rangers have the ability to look up your permit on the trails. You must ride with a valid ID.
No, trails are open from sunrise to sunset.
The SRRA and Spearhead Trails do not offer rental machines, but many of our partners do.

Even if you aren't driving or are stopped, alcohol is strictly prohibited on Spearhead Trails.
Yes, Trail Rangers have the authority to write tickets and enforce all rules set forth in the rider permit agreement.
No, stay on trails and adhere to all posted signs.
Camping on the trail and building fires are both strictly prohibited.
