The Emergency Management Director is responsible for for overseeing emergency and safety operations for the SRRA, including management of the Trail Ranger staff, responding to trail emergencies and developing response and planning protocols for the Authority.
Virginia Law Enforcement DCJS Certification preferred.

The Trail Ranger is a non-exempt full-time employee. The Trail Ranger will report directly to the Lead Ranger where he/she assists visitors in appreciating and enjoying the trails managed by Southwest Regional Recreation Authority.
The Trail Ranger will work as a part of a compliance team to educate, inform, enforce trail rules with users and perform other duties as assigned.
Trail Rangers shall have authority as established in Virginia Code § 15.2-6021 to protect and enforce trail polices for safe use and enjoyment of users.
